Gridded Concert Poster

Image
To start off this blog, I had so many ideas but since the poster was going to be about artist I decided to do Elvis Presley. I started off with a black background and then went on google to find a black background PNG picture of Elvis Presley. Therefore to make the poster I had to change the font of Elvis Presley. Additionally after that I put the Elvis Presley picture to the left of the page making it outstand to the rest. After that moved, the title of the poster to the middle, it needed a little bit more of moving but I left it there to outstand.  Barclays Center is a multi-purpose indoor arena in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. The arena is home to the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association and the New York Liberty of the Women's National Basketball Association. Here is where Elvis Presley decided to sing at for all New Yorkers that want to see him.

Hierarchy on Grid

This Hierarchy on Grid was another fairly easy project.

This exercise worked out pretty well and exactly how to copy it as the example. The first example is Spatial Intervals, Spatial intervals was spaces between Art in the Present Tense and 52nd International Art Exhibition. Therefore it spaces the Venice Biennale from every other word. This first example and every other design was pretty easy. The second example is Contrasting Colors. This one was easy too because I used the paragraph tool to move every other word except Venice Biennale. The word was changed to Bold Helvetica Neule in color red. The third design is Uppercase Spatial Intervals. This example was fairly unchallenging because the word Venice Biennale was changed to ALL CAPS. The fourth design was No Hierarchy. This design was the most easiest because all I had to do was copy the text into the document letter sized paper and match it with the original one.   The fifth design was  Italic Scale Color Weight Alignment.  The sixth design was  Contrast...

This project was fairly easy because I had to use the same grid but change it up to create different designs like proximity, similarity, closure, figure ground. The first one is closure because the left side is closing into the right side. This first design was fairly easy since it was just to move around and rotate the words. The second design is Continuity because it was just creating a type S. The S isn't a perfect one but it could match with the form of the text. The third design is Ground Figure because I changed the words and made it better. It works in such a way because if you fold it it will come together. The fourth design is Proximity because to me it looks like a toy but if you put it together it would look better. The Fifth design is Similarity because everything is the same and nothing changes from the text or grid.
